The Holmes® Harmony® 99.97% HEPA Air Purifiers are designed to fit your life. They have a smaller footprint so they take up less valuable space. They can be placed upright or on their side and are designed to fit against the wall. With noise a large concern for many users they are specially designed to be quiet. The Harmony® air purifier should not be the loudest thing in the room. Three feature a filter change indicator and use the same replacement filters.

Definitions:

AHAM: Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers responsible for initiating and monitoring the only recognized air purifier performance, Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR).

CADR: Clean Air Delivery Rate is an air purifier standart that measures the effectiveness of removing airborne particles such as smoke dust and pollen. There is a direct link between the smoke CADR performance number and the appropriate room size stated on a package.

What should I consider when choosing an air filter?
Filter efficiency - the type, size and number of particles the filter is able to trap. See diagram below:
Performance - overall filter performance depends on a number of factors:
• Is it pleated? A pleated filter provides additional surface area on which particles can be trapped.
• Is it electrostatically charged? Filters with electrostatic charging can attract and capture particles that other filters can miss.
• What type of particulates does it capture?
• What is the filter's efficiency?
• What is its MERV rating? A larger MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) number means better filtration
